Mixtape #10: No Chorus – No Job

As our little mixtape series graduates to double figures, this week’s entry (in a distinct ironical contrast to the multitude of pre-Electric Picnic mixes doing the rounds) is about being broke and unemployed this summer. It was compiled by Sean McTiernan, proprietor of one of Ireland’s most unique and interesting music blogs, No Chorus. It’s full of stuff, lots of videos and songs and funny posts. He also does a wickedly funny podcast over on his Tumblr. The mixtape covers a lot of ground, from the lo-fi electronica of Hipster Youth to the experimental work of Oneohtrix Point Never all the way to Ol’ Dirty Bastard. It’s quite a journey.
Enjoy the Picnic if you’re going, this should help ease the pain if you’re not!
