Record Store Day 2K11

Tomorrow is probably my favourite day of the year. A day to celebrate pretty much everything I love about music, just for the sake of it. You can’t say fairer than that. It’s going to be a jam-packed day, with loads of in-stores and little gigs before we throw our party in the Twisted Pepper. Tower Records and the Record, Art and Game Emporium are the places to be as far as I can see, with performances like Lykke Li and Enemies in Tower and We Are Losers, Squarehead and, in what is bound to be the highlight of the day, Twinkranes in the basement of R.A.G.E.

After all that madness (plus the Manchester Derby!) we’ll be living it up in the Twisted Pepper with Ginola, We Are Losers and C!ties playing. It’s going to be a whopper night with a free mystery cassette to give away to the first thirty five people that poke their heads in the door. This cassette will never be available again, ever, anywhere, until the end of time so get down early to get your hands on one. It’s a tenner on the door, which opens at half ten, or you can get in for half that if you email us first to tell us you’re coming – quarterinchcollective@gmail.com.

Anyway, if you need another reason to go, here it is:
